WE VALUE THE GIFT OF LIFE - TWENTY-SIX WEEKS AFTER CONCEPTION: Dear Spiritual Friends, my life began at my conception 26 weeks ago. I have been viable for several weeks now and most recently I developed the sense of taste and smell. However, if you put a sweet tasting substance in my amniotic fluid, I would swallow more. However, if you put a bitter tasting substance in my amniotic fluid, I would swallow less. My facial expression shows my displeasure at bitter tasting things. Please continue to pray to Our Lady of Guadalupe for my life and mom’s well-being. Let those who seek my life be put to shame and disgrace. Let those who plot evil against me be turned back and confounded (Psalm 35:4-5)

MARRIAGE TIP: Some of us are problem-solvers and some of us are “venters.” Often a problem-solver will try to give helpful suggestions to the venting spouse when all that is really needed is to listen and be sympathetic. Know the difference. Find more Marriage Rx at www.foryourmarriage.org.

The Catechism of the Catholic Church refers to Mary’s Assumption as follows: The Most Blessed Virgin Mary, when the course of her earthly life was completed, was taken up body and soul into the glory of heaven, where she already shares in the glory of her Son’s Resurrection, anticipating the resurrection of all members of his Body. Mary formed and gave us the body of Christ her son so that he could daily give himself to us in Eucharist.
