MARRIAGE TIP: Be a “Doubting Thomas.” If you’re about to accuse your spouse of losing an important paper, forgetting to write that thank you note, or a thousand other irksome offenses, try giving your beloved the benefit of the doubt first. Maybe you misunderstood. Find more Marriage Rx at www.foryourmarriage.org.
ALL SOULS ENVELOPES: Envelopes for All Souls are available at the entrance to the church. With your offering indicate the names in whose memory you wish us to pray.
WE VALUE THE GIFT OF LIFE THIRTY-SEVEN WEEKS AFTER CONCEPTION Hello Spiritual Friends, 37 weeks ago my life started at conception. I am an amazing creation of God and I will be born in one week. I weigh a little more than seven pounds and I am close to 21 1/2 inches long. All of my organs, including my lungs are ready for birth now. My immune system is gaining strength at this point to protect me once I am outside of my mother’s womb. My mom is feeling really ready for me to be born. Please keep us in your prayers. Pray for
my life, protect my life and defend my life. My love shall never leave you nor my covenant of peace be shaken says the Lord, who has mercy on you . All your sons shall be taught by the Lord, and great shall be the peace of your children. (Isaiah 54:13)

CATHOLIC CALENDARS: Calendars for 2012 indicating the special holy days and saints of the Catholic Church are available for your home or workplace. This year they are on the theme of Christian stewardship.
N MEMORY OF OUR DEPARTED FAMILY: The Catholic Church invites us in the month of November to remember those who have died. Death is the end of our earthly journey. The Church encourages us to prepare ourselves for that hour of death by prayer. Mary, our Blessed Mother, gave us her prayer, the Hail Mary, in which she mentions she will be with us at the hour of death. During November let us remember especially those who were called by death to their everlasting life since last November and whose funeral and/or burial was in this parish.

JOINING THE SAINTS: Halloween" is a name that means nothing by itself. It is a contraction of "All Hallows Eve," and it designates the vigil of All Hallows Day, more commonly known as All Saints Day celebrated on Tuesday, November 1.. Many of the Halloween traditions had their origins in the All Saints/All Souls religious traditions of the Catholic Church. Some of them were part of the Celtic pagan tradition including lighting bonfires, carving pumpkins, and going from house to house, collecting treats.
