HOLY LAND/GOOD FRIDAY COLLECTION: Christians around the world are united in a special way during Lent, Holy Week and Easter. Our hearts and minds are also aware of the Holy Land. As a collection requested by Pope Benedict XVI, the annual Good Friday collection offers a direct link for parishioners to be witnesses of peace and to help protect the sacred shrines. Your donation is supporting Christians in the Holy Land as well.

LENTEN MISSION: The Roman Catholic Community of Dannemora and Redford will be hosting a Lenten Parish Mission at all weekend Masses March 24/25; Monday, March 26 and Tuesday, March 27 at St. Joseph Church, Dannemora at 7:00 p.m.; Wednesday, March 28 at The Church of the Assumption in Redford at 7:00 p.m. The mission will be led by Rev. Raymond J. Moreau, current pastor of Sacred Heart Church in Chazy.
CATHOLIC RELIEF SERVICES: Today, we take up the Works of the Holy Father/Catholic Relief Services. This collection helps the Holy Father to support victims of disaster, war and oppression, as well as to strengthen dioceses, religious orders, and struggling communities of faith. Catholic Relief Services help fund programs that aid refugees, immigrants and the impoverished, including victims of war, natural disaster and drought. Please help give hope to Jesus in Disguise and give generously to this collection.
ASSISTANT DIRECTOR RELIGIOUS EDUCATION: The Roman Catholic Diocese of Ogdensburg is seeking an Assistant Director for Christian Formation – Ogdensburg Region. The position is responsible for the management of the Ogdensburg Regional Office of Christian Formation and the supervision of the Formation for Ministry Program. Applicants should have a Master’s Degree or a Bachelor’s Degree with extensive experience in religious studies, religious education and faith formation. Additional qualifications include: successful experience as a catechist, knowledge of current catechetical documents, familiarity with the characteristics of the adult learner, a proven record in interpersonal skills and competency in the use of technology both administratively and in instructional settings. Submit letter of interest, resume and three professional references to: Human Resources Office, Diocese of Ogdensburg, P.O. Box 369, Ogdensburg, NY 13669 or e-mail to ksnover@dioogdensburg.org.
