Wonderful as marriage can be, it’s not always lived on an emotional high. Some days, we must just decide to love. The feelings will eventually follow. Find more Marriage Rx at www.foryourmarriage.org COMMUNION TO THE SICK: The Second Vatican Council,in its Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, speaks of the Holy Eucharist as the source and summit of our spiritual life. This means the Holy Eucharist is the source from which all other blessings flow. Please advise Father Deno of homebound persons who would like to have Holy Communion brought to them at their LENT 2103; The Holy Season of Lent 2013 begins on Wednesday, February 13th. It is a time each year for us to turn away from sin and be faithful to the Gospel and living our Catholic life. When we open our minds and hearts to God’s reconciling love, all that holds us back from encountering Jesus in an intimate, life-altering way melts away. Our efforts to re-vitalize and strengthen our faith must begin with an acknowledgement that sometimes our words and deeds rupture our relationship with the Lord and one another. We are in need of healing and reconciliation. So, we examine our consciences and admit our failings, knowing that Jesus’ merciful love continually welcomes us into His warm embrace. In the next week you will a variety of difficult activities to help to make Lent 2013 the best you have ever made. Among these includes Mass, Stations of Cross, Confession. Though the assistance of the Knights of Columbus Council 6067 a variety of books and booklets will be available to you. As in past years the Lenten 2013 copy of MAGNIFCAT and leaflets on Lent, on Holy Week and on the Year of Faith will be available. All effective efforts at change begin with a desire to change. These items provide yo particulars on how to carry these out.
