THE FEAST OF PENTECOST: “Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love!” To be in touch with Christ, we must first have been touched by the Holy Spirit is what theCatechism of the Catholic Church says! When the work which the God gave Jesus to do on earth was accomplished, the Holy Spirit was sent on the day of Pentecost in order that the Holy Spirit might continually sanctify the church. Those who are led by the Spirit are called children of God. The Holy Spirit makes present for us the mystery of Christ, especially in the Eucharist.
