Mission Intention for June: That priests, united to the Sacred Heart of Christ, may always be true witnesses to the caring and merciful of God.

CATHOLIC COMMUNICATIONS CAMPAIGN: The Catholic Communication Campaign (CCC) focuses on finding new ways to bring the gospel message to you by working to be wherever the faithful and those seeking the faith are. CCC provides content the way you need it—on the Internet to strengthen marriage, in podcasts for daily readings, on television for Christmas Mass, and on Facebook for news, discussions, and sharing of the faith. Please support this important work. CCC is how the Good News gets around to you.

MARRIAGE TIP: A husband read an article to his wife about how many words women use a day – 30,000 to a man’s 15,000. The wife replied, “That’s because we have to repeat everything to men.” The husband turned to his wife and asked, “What?” Find more Marriage Rx atwww.foryourmarriage.org.

WE VALUE THE GIFT OF LIFE – SEVENTEEN WEEKS AFTER CONCEPTION: Hello Spiritual Friends, thank you for your continued prayers. My life started at my conception seventeen weeks ago and I weigh 7 ounces. I am about six inches long and move around a lot, especially when my mom is resting. My mom is taking good care of us by eating several small, healthy meals a day.. Preserve my life and rescue me; do not let me be disgraced, for I trust in you. (Psalms 25:20

THE ROMAN MISSAL, THIRD EDITION: The joy of being Catholic is in the Eucharist. The Most Holy Eucharist, also called Holy Mass, is the wellspring of Catholic life and its summit. The Catholic is in church, participating fully, consciously, and actually in the Sacred Liturgy; and then is sent forth out of church into the world to bear witness. The Catholic lives from Eucharist to Eucharist, Go to church with a heart made ready for the Mystery. Begin at home by reading the texts appointed for the day’s Mass:first reading, responsorial psalm, second reading, and Gospel. The references for these texts are readily available in the parish bulletin. Let the Word of God resonate in your heart; read the texts aloud, slowly, and with attention. Repeat the phrases that strike you. Let the Word itself become your prayer; send back to God the Word he has addressed to you. Then, for a few moments, remain in silence. Adore the God who has spoken to you. Ask Him to give you hunger for the “daily bread” you will receive at Mass. Go to church with hunger and desire; you will not be sent away empty.
