THANKSGIVING DINNER: Our Lady of the Adirondacks House of Prayer, 7270 Star Road, Ellenburg Center invites you to their 3rd annual Thanksgiving Dinner on Thursday, November 24, Noon. RSVP to olaprayerhouse@gmail.com or 518-594-3253.

CHRISTMAS FLOWERS COLLECTION: As in the past you will find envelopes at the entrance of the church for donations for Christmas flowers and decorations. Place the envelopes with your contribution in the collection basket. Your generous contribution is very much appreciated.

FUNERAL: A funeral was celebrated this week for Paul Fittin. Please remember him, his wife and his children in your prayers.

Lake Champlain Bus For Life: A chartered bus will leave St. Peter’s Church on Sunday evening, January 22 at 7:30 p.m. for the Monday, January 23 National March For Life. The bus will return to Plattsburgh in the early morning of January 24. The cost of the bus is $25 per seat. FREE CONCERT: Cumberland Bay Barbershoppers and Champlain Valley Sweet Adelines, Sunday, November 20, 2:30 PM St. Peter”s Church.

NEW PRAYERS, SAME MASS : Beginning with the First Sunday of Advent November 27,2011 Catholics in this country will worship using the new English translation of the Roman Missal, Third Edition. To understand the new prayers take home a copy of the prayer card and booklet at the entrance to the church

CATHOLIC SCHOOLS: Seton Catholic & Seton Academy are collecting items for a Silent Auction on December 4th from Noon - 5 PM at the Christmas Dinner at Seton Catholic. Donations of any gift certificates or new items (minimum value $20) will be offered for sale. Items can be dropped off at either school. All proceeds directly benefit the schools.

CAMPAIGN FOR HUMAN DEVELOPMENT: Next week, we will take up the collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development (CCHD). CCHD was founded by the U.S. bishops, who recognized that the lives of those in need will not improve until the systems and policies that keep people in poverty change. For over 40 years, CCHD has funded community groups that create lasting change.

SETON CATHOLIC CENTRAL NEWS: Cross country teams, boys and girls, both won the section and will compete in states this month. The girls soccer team made it to section finals. Seton students have participated in several community service activities recently including harvest dinners and raising money for the food pantry.

CATHOLIC CALENDARS: Calendars for 2012 indicating the special holy days and saints of the Catholic Church are available for your home or workplace. This year they are on the theme of Christian stewardship.

March for Life Pilgrimage! If you’re in your 20’s or 30’s consider joining College Students and Young Adults in our Pilgrimage to Washington, DC for the 39th March for Life. The Pilgrimage will depart on Friday Afternoon, January 20th, Mass on Sunday, January 22nd and will conclude on Tuesday January 24th. The all-inclusive cost is $150 per adult.
