NEWS FROM SETON CATHOLIC: As another successful school year winds down, it is truly a great time to say a big thank you to the generous and faithful parishioners of our core parishes who support Seton Catholic daily financially and through prayer! We truly appreciate it and remember all of you in our prayers daily. Catholic education is an essential part of the church’s evangelization and without all of you it would not be possible. Our middle school will celebration the annual Moving Up Day with Mass at St. Peter’s on Thursday, June 14th at 7pm. A reception will follow immediately after in the Emmaus Room. Our graduates will celebrate their baccalaureate Mass at Our Lady of Victory on Friday, June 15th at 7pm. Graduation will follow on Saturday, June 16th at 1pm in Hawkins Hall.. PARISH NURSE: St. James Parish welcomes two parishioners who have completed training in the ministry of Parish Nurse at the Mercy Care Parish Nursing Program at Saranac Lake. A Parish Nurse is an active RN licensed in New York State with the specialized practice that focuses on whole person health and spiritual care as part of the process of promoting holistic health in a parish community. It originated with Phoebe, the deaconess mentioned in the letter of St. Paul to the Romans who opened her home to the sick and needy. Our parish nurses can help you by visiting you in your home to help problem solve, to consult, to support, to listen, to help you find available community resources that you may need. FAMILY GUGGENHEIM: Family Guggenheim is an opportunity for the entire family to get away for a few days of relaxation, fun, prayer, and just being together as family. Family Guggenheim is held at the Guggenheim Retreat Center, operated by on Lower Saranac Lake. Sessions 1 and 2 begin at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 9 and Thursday, August 16 and end at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 12 and Sunday, August 19. Session 3 begins at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, October 5 and ends at 5:00 p.m.on Sunday, October 7. For information phone 315-393-2920. SPORTSCAMP: SportsCamp 2012, held at Wadhams in Ogdensburg, is a great place where boys and girls age 11-15 blend quality sports training with spiritual growth.
