CATHOLIC CHARITIES APPEAL: RESPONDING…INVITING…EMPOWERING CATHOLIC CHARITIES AND YOU!
Your gift to Catholic Charities will help an individual or family build a bridge to a healthier life. All of the programs and services of Catholic Charities are based on the belief that every human life is sacred and each person has dignity and worth. Catholic Charities mission is to provide direct aid and to invite others to join us in the work of advocacy. Pope Francis is calling each of us to remember that as a Church we have a “preferential option for the poor”. Your gift to the Annual Catholic Charities Appeal is a concrete way to put your faith into action. For more information please visit our website at: www.cathcharities.org or call us at (315) 393-2255
MOTHERS DAY: On Mothers’ Day we give thanks for our Mothers and all women of the world who have joined with God in the wonder of bringing forth new life. The following prayer is one offered to us by one of our mothers:
The demands on my time, attention, and energy draw me in many directions, Lord. Yet, without you I can do nothing, and with you all things are possible. Enlighten my mind to discern rightly what is essential. Guide me to evaluate all things with the eyes of faith. Help me to reserve a place in the busyness of each day to be renewed and strengthened, to thank you for your gifts and listen to your voice. O Beloved Lord and Maker of all souls, who desires that I should come to you, draw me by your grace to desire to love you more. Amen.
