THE FEAST OF PENTECOST: “Come, Holy Spirit, fill the hearts of your faithful and kindle in them the fire of your love!” To be in touch with Christ, we must first have been touched by the Holy Spirit is what the Catechism of the Catholic Church says! When the work which the God gave Jesus to do on earth was accomplished, the Holy Spirit was sent on the day of Pentecost in order that the Holy Spirit might continually sanctify the church. Those who are led by the Spirit are called children of God. The Holy Spirit makes present for us the mystery of Christ, especially in the Eucharist.
FORMATION FOR MINISTRY: Formation for Ministry is seeking applicants for next year’s classes beginning September 2013 in Morrisonville. We invite and encourage you to enrich your talents to serve as a commissioned lay minister or to begin your preparation to become a permanent Deacon. CATHOLIC HOME MISSIONS APPEAL: One way the Catholic Home Missions Appeal works to support home mission dioceses in the United States is by
supporting seminarian formation in poor dioceses. Often home mission priests and lay ministers require special training to attend to the unique needs of their faith communities. Your support is needed. Please help strengthen the Church at home by making a generous gift to next week’s Appeal.

THANK YOU: We are thankful to all members of our parish who assisted in making the Sacrament of Confirmation a spiritual and memorable experience for those who received Confirmation on Friday, May 10th. This includes all those who prepared and participated in the Liturgy and Mass, those who planned and prepared the reception after the Mass, the parents who participated in their child’s preparation during the past two years, and the sponsors.
