Bulletin for the Week of July 20, 2014

THANK YOU: St. James Parishioners contributed $9,501.50 to the 2014 Bishop’s Fund Appeal.  Thank you for your outstanding generosity to this appeal.

OGDENSBURG MISSIONS: Each year St. James Parish provides financial assistance to Catholic Churches in Mission Countries. This year Father Vincent Freeh, Missionary of the Sacred Heart from Watertown, will be with us for Masses on the August 16-17 weekend. As a result the Special Collection envelopes for the July 26-27 weekend will be collected on the August 16-17 weekend.

160 YEARS OLD!  St. James Parish, founded in 1854 by foreign born Irish, has provided spiritual benefits in this part of the Saranac River Valley to Irish and to all who have participated in the parish. To honor this outstanding event the parish is hosting a special memorial concert by the Beartracks, a musical group whose members have been parishioners of St. James for most of these years. A 10 year update of the parish history written by Elaine Rice will be available. The schedule of events is listed on the next page.

Pilgrimage to Our Lady of the Cape sponsored by Diocesan Vocations Society with Bishop LaValley for Thursday and Friday, September 11-12, 2014. A bus leaves from Plattsburgh. For more information or to register contact Connie Randall at (315) 265-2762.  Sign up by August 4th.
