SUSTAINING OUR FAITH-SECURING OUR FUTURE:
Those of you who are registered with St. James Parish received this week a bulletin about financial stewardship. It is part of an increase giving campaign requested by Bishop Cunningham of all parishes of the Diocese of Ogdensburg. The goal of this modified campaign for St. James Parish is to encourage all parishioners to use weekly donation envelopes as a means of supporting the parish. Consequently, cards have been provided in the pews and at the entrance to the church to be completed by those who wish to begin using envelopes.

SPORTSCAMP:
SPORTSCAMP at Wadhams Hall, Ogdensburg, is a great place where boys and girls ages 11-15 blend quality basketball and soccer training with personal and spiritual growth. Operated in two, five-day sessions, Week One (July 6-10) is dedicated to basketball and Week Two (July 13-17) to soccer. For more information email www.catholiccamps.org

CAMP GUGGENHEIM:
The Camp operates six weekly sessions from June 29th – August 8th. Each weekly Camp begins on Sunday at 3 pm and ends on Friday at noon. Weeks One through Five are specifically designated for 12-15 year olds. Week Six is for 16-18 year olds. The Camp fee is $235.00 including a non-refundable $100 deposit. CATHOLIC HOME MISSIONS:
Since 1998, the Catholic Home Missions Appeal has been a powerful expression of stewardship and our Catholic Communion. The Catholic Home Mission Appeal second collection will take place in next weekend. This Catholic Home Missions Appeal offers us a wonderful opportunity to help fellow Catholics practice their faith in such rugged mission areas such as Alaska, Appalachia, the Deep South, Rocky Mountain States, the Southwest, Puerto Rico and the island diocese in the Pacific and Caribbean. Over 95 cents of every dollar donated to the Appeal goes directly to the missions. Some dioceses are terribly short of priests, sisters and money needed to run parishes. There are only 70 priests in the whole state of Utah, 57 in Idaho, and 45 in Wyoming.

THE YEAR OF ST. PAUL:
The Year of St. Paul will being on June 28th. The central church for the Year of St. Paul's the Basilica of St. Paul Outside-the-Walls in Rome. As we come closer to the beginning of this year I will prepare bulletin information about the Life of St. Paul. The St. Paul Corner appears in the North Country Catholic to prepare for the St. Paul Event.
