DO YOU KNOW WHO ARE THE ABUSERS?
Estimates are that approximately 60% of abusers are men, 15 to 20% are women, and 20 to 40% are men and women acting together. So while men are indeed the majority of sexual abusers, it is dangerous to underestimate the risk that female sexual abusers also pose to children. Among educators, 57.2% of abusers are male, and 42.4% of abusers are female. For particular help you may call Sister Ellen Donohue at 315-293-2920 or email: edonahue@dioogdensburg.org.

He will open the Year of St. Paul with Solemn Vespers of Evening Prayer on June 28, 2008 at the Basilica of St. Paul Outside the Walls in Rome. Pope Benedict said: The Risen Christ led St. Paul ‘to proclaim the Gospel to the Gentiles, until he reached this city where, after having preached the Kingdom of God for a long time’ (Acts 28:31), he rendered with his blood a last testimony to his Lord. The Diocese of Ogdensburg will celebrate The St. Paul Event on Sunday, September 14, 2008, the Feast of the Triumph of the Cross at St. Mary’s Cathedral, Ogdensburg at 4:00 p.m. Bishop Robert J. Eleveneth Sunday in Ordinary Time:
What proves taht God loves us is that Jesus died for us while we were still sinners. Jesus chooses the twelve apostles to carry on His work as Messiah. He sends them -- and us -- out to the rich harvest. Pray to the Lord to send more laboreres for the harvest. We have heard and seen whaat the Lord does for the people he has chosen. God has given each one of us a job to do for the growth of his church.

A FATHER’S DAY BLESSING
The following blessing may be used with the table blessing on Father’s Day. God Our Father, in your wisdom and love you made all things. Bless our father. Let the example of his faith and love shine forth. Grant that we, his family, may honor him always with a spirit of profound respect. Grant this through Christ our Lord. Amen
