Mission Intention for November
That the victims of addiction may, thanks to the support of the Christian community, find in the power of our Saving God strenght to recover.

THANKSGIVING DAY MASS: On Thanksgiving Day, November 25, there will be a special Mass of Thanksgiving at 8:30 AM

MARCH OF LIFE PILGRIMAGE: On Sunday, January 23rd a bus will depart from St. Peter’s Church, Plattsburgh for Washington for those who wish to participate in the annual March for Life. YEAR’S END: The new year according to the Catholic Church begins on November 28th, the first Sunday of Advent. This current Church year ends with next weekend’s special day in honor of Our Lord Jesus Christ the King. As this church year draws to a close, the Lord Jesus reminds us that even in times of trial and persecution, not a hair on our head will be harmed because of our faith and trust in God. For those of you who follow the Bible readings of the Church, our new church year (November 28,2010 to November 27, 2011) will be known as Year A.

CCHD/Black and Indian Missions: Next week we will join the other parishes in the Diocese in taking up the collection for the Catholic Campaign for Human Development and the Black and Indian Missions. Both of these groups have a national and a local impact. Remember, 25% of the funds collected for CCHD remain in the Diocese to assist local groups working to address the issue of poverty in our North Country communities. Each year the evangelization/religious education programs at Akwasasne receive a substantial grant from the National Office for the Black and Indian Missions.
Please be as generous as possible to this important combined collection.
If you have questions or need additional information, please contact:
Sr. Donna M. Franklin, DC by e-mail at ccdirect@wadhams.edu Thank you for your support!
